ܥܠ ܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܝܬܝܪܬܐ ܥܒܕ ܐܢܐ ܐܢ ܟܬܒ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ

It is indeed unnecessary for me to write to you concerning the service to the saints,

ܝܕܥ ܐܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܛܘܝܒܗ ܕܪܥܝܢܟܘܢ ܘܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܫܬܒܗܪܬ ܒܟܘܢ ܠܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ ܕܐܟܐܝܐ ܥܬܝܕܐ ܗܝ ܡܢ ܐܫܬܩܕܝ ܘܛܢܢܐ ܕܝܠܟܘܢ ܠܣܓܝܐܐ ܓܪܓ
yde 'n' gyr Twybh dreynkwn wmTl hn' 'shthbhrth bkwn lmqdwny' d'k'y' ethyd' hy mn 'shthqdy wTnn' dylkwn lsgy'' grg
for I know your readiness, of which I boast on your behalf to them of Macedonia, that Achaia has been prepared for a year past. Your zeal has stirred up very many of them.

ܫܕܪܬ ܕܝܢ ܠܐܚܐ ܕܠܐ ܢܣܬܪܩ ܫܘܒܗܪܢ ܕܐܫܬܒܗܪܢ ܒܟܘܢ ܥܠ ܗܕܐ ܨܒܘܬܐ ܕܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܐܡܪܬ ܬܗܘܘܢ ܡܛܝܒܝܢ
shdrth dyn l'kh' dl' nsthrq shwbhrn d'shthbhrn bkwn el hd' tsbwth' d'ykn' d'mrth thhwwn mTybyn
But I have sent the brothers that our boasting on your behalf may not be in vain in this respect, that, just as I said, you may be prepared,

ܕܠܡܐ ܢܐܬܘܢ ܥܡܝ ܡܩܕܘܢܝܐ ܘܢܫܟܚܘܢܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܠܐ ܥܬܝܕܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܢܒܗܬ ܚܢܢ ܕܠܐ ܢܐܡܪ ܕܐܢܬܘܢ ܬܒܗܬܘܢ ܒܫܘܒܗܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܐܫܬܒܗܪܢ
dlm' n'thwn emy mqdwny' wnshkkhwnkwn kd l' ethydyn 'nthwn wnbhth khnn dl' n'mr d'nthwn thbhthwn bshwbhr' hw d'shthbhrn
lest by any means, if anyone from Macedonia comes there with me and finds you unprepared, we (to say nothing of you) would be disappointed in this confident boasting.

ܡܛܠ ܗܢܐ ܐܬܒܛܠ ܠܝ ܕܐܒܥܐ ܡܢ ܐܚܝ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܢܐܬܘܢ ܩܕܡܝ ܠܘܬܟܘܢ ܘܢܥܬܕܘܢ ܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܗܝ ܕܡܢ ܩܕܝܡ ܐܫܬܡܥܬܘܢ ܕܬܗܘܐ ܡܛܝܒܐ ܗܟܢܐ ܐܝܟ ܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܝܥܢܘܬܐ

I thought it necessary therefore to entreat the brothers that they would go before to you, and arrange ahead of time the generous gift that you promised before, that the same might be ready as a matter of generosity, and not of greediness.

ܗܕܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܢ ܕܙܪܥ ܒܚܘܣܢܐ ܐܦ ܒܚܘܣܢܐ ܚܨܕ ܘܡܢ ܕܙܪܥ ܒܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܒܒܘܪܟܬܐ ܢܚܨܘܕ
hd' dyn mn dzre bkhwsn' 'p bkhwsn' khtsd wmn dzre bbwrkth' bbwrkth' nkhtswd
Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

ܟܠ ܐܢܫ ܐܝܟ ܕܐܝܬ ܒܪܥܝܢܗ ܠܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܟܪܝܘܬܐ ܐܘ ܐܝܟ ܕܡܢ ܩܛܝܪܐ ܠܝܗܘܒܐ ܗܘ ܓܝܪ ܚܕܝܐ ܪܚܡ ܐܠܗܐ
kl 'nsh 'yk d'yth breynh l' 'yk dmn krywth' 'w 'yk dmn qTyr' lyhwb' hw gyr khdy' rkhm 'lh'
Let each man give according as he has determined in his heart; not grudgingly, or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver.

ܡܛܝܐ ܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܒܐܝܕܝ ܐܠܗܐ ܟܠ ܛܝܒܘ ܕܢܝܬܪ ܒܟܘܢ ܕܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܒܟܠܡܕܡ ܗܘ ܡܐ ܕܣܦܩ ܠܟܘܢ ܢܗܘܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܘܬܬܝܬܪܘܢ ܒܟܠ ܥܒܕ ܛܒ
mTy' hy dyn b'ydy 'lh' kl Tybw dnythr bkwn dbklzbn bklmdm hw m' dspq lkwn nhw' lkwn wththythrwn bkl ebd Tb
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.

ܐܝܟ ܕܟܬܝܒ ܕܒܕܪ ܘܝܗܒ ܠܡܣܟܢܐ ܘܙܕܝܩܘܬܗ ܩܝܡܐ ܠܥܠܡ
'yk dkthyb dbdr wyhb lmskn' wzdyqwthh qym' lelm
As it is written,
“He has scattered abroad, he has given to the poor.
His righteousness remains forever.”

ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܗܒ ܙܪܥܐ ܠܙܪܘܥܐ ܘܠܚܡܐ ܠܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܗܘ ܢܬܠ ܘܢܣܓܐ ܙܪܥܟܘܢ ܘܢܪܒܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܕܙܕܝܩܘܬܟܘܢ
hw dyn dyhb zre' lzrwe' wlkhm' lm'kwlth' hw nthl wnsg' zrekwn wnrb' p'r' dzdyqwthkwn
Now may he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food, supply and multiply your seed for sowing, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;

ܕܒܟܠ ܡܕܡ ܬܥܬܪܘܢ ܒܟܠܗ ܦܫܝܛܘܬܐ ܕܗܝ ܓܡܪܐ ܒܐܝܕܢ ܬܘܕܝܬܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ

you being enriched in everything to all generosity, which produces through us thanksgiving to God.

ܡܛܠ ܕܦܘܠܚܢܐ ܕܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܠܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܠܚܘܕ ܚܣܝܪܘܬܐ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܡܡܠܐ ܐܠܐ ܐܦ ܡܝܬܪ ܒܬܘܕܝܬܐ ܣܓܝܐܬܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ
mTl dpwlkhn' dthshmshth' hd' l' hw' blkhwd khsyrwth' dqdysh' mml' 'l' 'p mythr bthwdyth' sgy'th' l'lh'
For this service of giving that you perform not only makes up for lack among the saints, but abounds also through much giving of thanks to God;

ܡܛܠ ܒܘܩܝܐ ܓܝܪ ܕܬܫܡܫܬܐ ܗܕܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܕܐܫܬܥܒܕܬܘܢ ܠܬܘܕܝܬܐ ܕܣܒܪܬܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܐܫܬܘܬܦܬܘܢ ܒܦܫܝܛܘܬܟܘܢ ܥܡܗܘܢ ܘܥܡ ܟܠܢܫ
mTl bwqy' gyr dthshmshth' hd' l'lh' mshbkhyn d'shthebdthwn lthwdyth' dsbrthh dmshykh' w'shthwthpthwn bpshyTwthkwn emhwn wem klnsh
seeing that through the proof given by this service, they glorify God for the obedience of your confession to the Good News of Christ, and for the generosity of your contribution to them and to all;

ܘܨܠܘܬܐ ܡܩܪܒܝܢ ܚܠܦܝܟܘܢ ܒܚܘܒܐ ܣܓܝܐܐ ܡܛܠ ܣܘܓܐܐ ܕܛܝܒܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܕܥܠܝܟܘܢ
wtslwth' mqrbyn khlpykwn bkhwb' sgy'' mTl swg'' dTybwthh d'lh' delykwn
while they themselves also, with supplication on your behalf, yearn for you by reason of the exceeding grace of God in you.
